Party havens Avalon and Pangaea open in Singapore

‘The biggest party in Asia!’ The long-awaited arrival of the A-List nightclubs Avalon and Pangaea in Singapore has been causing some serious buzz since they opened just before the 2011 F1 Grand Prix in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands.

Did we say causing some major buzz? Yes. While not inextricably linked, the two clubs do share some things in common. Most notably that they are located in the same venue off the promenade from Marina Bay Sands and both are consider high-class party hubs from the U.S.A.

Connected to the Marina Bay Sands complex, it is the “giant gemstone floating in the bay.” Pangaea and Avalon are two of the most buzz-worthy nightclub brands in the world. Both boast innovative concepts, fresh music, celebrities and “seven-star” service.

Pangaea

Pangaea is an “ultra-lounge bottle club” with venues in NYC, Miami, London and now Singapore. (The BBC called the London venue the “best club in London … the playground for the royals.”)

Pangaea’s other venues previously hosted some of the hardest partying celebs: Jack Nicholson, Madonna, Prince, John Travolta, Kate Moss, Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicolas Cage, Bill Clinton, Harrison Ford, Sting, Paul McCartney, Cindy Crawford, Paris Hilton, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Gisele Bündchen, Jennifer Lopez, Pamela Anderson and the UK’s Prince Harry.

Occupying 560 square meters, Pangaea is on the first level of the Marina Bay Sands’ Crystal Pavilion.

Avalon

Its distant, but wilder, cousin is Avalon, which spans two levels and will feature a lineup of leading international DJs, bands and hi-so parties.

Avalon co-founder and club guru Steven Adelman says, “Avalon has hosted virtually every celebrity—The Black Eyed Peas, Ashton Kutcher, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Pink … Parties at our club in L.A. have included the annual Grammy after-party hosted by Justin Timberlake. Here in Singapore, we’ve built the most ambitious and state-of-the-art visual, sound and light system [in the world]. … Avalon’s star power and this iconic structure will set the stage for the biggest party in Asia.”

Avalon’s Grand Opening (the soft opening was in September, as mentioned above) will be on Saturday October 29, 2011. (see the flyer below).
