THINK TANK. Cartier’s cornerstone Tank line of watches has a centenial and storied history
A symbol of style for over a hundred years, Tank watches have been worn by some of the most iconic figures in the history of style, including musician Duke Wellington, actor Clark Gable and Andy Warhol. The latest edition in the Tank line, the new Tank Anglaise, boasts a pure and distilled design with ample volume and proportions to spare. The watch retains the signatures of the Tank family of watches, such as the incorporation of the bracelet into the case, Roman numerals, chemin-de-fer chapter ring and blued-steel sword-shaped hands. Marking a milestone in the pursuit of pared-down design, the Tank Anglaise features a winding crown that blends seamlessly into the characteristic parallel brancard, which has been expertly streamlined. The Tank Anglaise watch comes in three ladies’ and men’s sizes in three colors of gold. The large models are powered by the Manufacture 1904 MC movement, which is visible through the open back.
