RED ON RED. Shining like the true leading man that he is in the latest campaign of the fine Italian house
By now, most of us are used to seeing actors fronting Prada’s menswear ad campaigns. Chosen names range from young stars such as Matthew Beard, Billy Howle and Logan Lerman from last season, to seasoned actors like Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe and Ethan Hawke.
It’s quite interesting to see that the fashion house is picking an actor somewhere between “young” and “seasoned” this fall/winter. That said actor is none other than the 34-year-old Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne, who is no stranger to the world of high fashion, as he’s starred in Burberry‘s ad campaign before.
Shot by Craig McDean, Redmayne cuts a confident figure as he carries the campaign on his own. In a series of painting-like photographs, Redmayne is wearing notable outfits and accessories from Prada’s fall/winter 2016 men’s collection. We love that the pieces manage to stand out without overshadowing Redmayne; it helps that the actor looks like he comes out of a Renaissance painting himself.
