Enter <a href="http://daman.co.id/?s=Vacheron%20Constantin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vacheron Constantin</a>! The Swiss watch manufacturer has unveiled a new Chinese New Year-themed watch: Métiers d’Art The legend of the Chinese zodiac Year of the Rooster. Since it&#8217;s going to be the Year of the Rooster starting January 28, 2017, the image of said animal decorates the watch, which will be available in two styles: Platinum and pink gold.

What makes this Vacheron Constantin piece more special is the techniques used by the watchmakers. The Scherenschnitt paper-cutting in Swiss culture is reinterpreted by the artisans to create the motif seen on the dial. Joining in the early celebration is <a href="http://daman.co.id/?s=Chopard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chopard</a>, which has made a Chinese New Year version of its L.U.C XP Urushi watch. To create the watch, Chopard is incorporating elements from multiple cultures, namely Swiss, Chinese and Japanese.
To create the dial of L.U.C XP Urushi – Year of the Rooster, Chopard has enlisted the help of Master Kiichiro Masumura, an expert in Japanese-style lacquer technique or &#8220;Urushi.&#8221; Masters of Urushi uses sap of &#8220;Japanese varnish&#8221; tree to &#8220;trap&#8221; the mother-of-pearl fragments on the dial.

The latest addition to its Classico edition, the limited edition watch is truly a keeper, thanks to the stunning dial. It&#8217;s made by using champlevé method, where the cells are carved directly on the dial and then filled with enamel. The technique is centuries-old and only few people are privileged enough to master it.
Available in 88 pieces only, the 40mm watch is powered by the in-house UN-815 self-winding movement and offers 42 hours of power reserve. Furthermore, the watch has also been certified by COSC or Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres.

Continuing their Chinese New Year tradition that has been going on for the last nine years, <a href="http://daman.co.id/?s=Panerai">Panerai</a> has unveiled the new Luminor 1950 Sealand 3 Days Automatic Acciaio, which is launched to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rooster.
The likeness of a rooster is engraved on the watch&#8217;s steel cover, which is adorned by hand with gold threads using an ancient technique called &#8220;Sparsello.&#8221; The technique requires the highly skillful craftsmen to put layers and layers of gold threads into the grooves to form the outlines of the said rooster. The cover can be opened to reveal a gray dial.

The 44mm watch is powered by the P.9000 automatic calibre with a power reserve of three days. The mechanism also includes a bi-directional oscillating weight, as well as an hour hand- and date-adjusting device.
