To celebrate the lively energy of summer, these six fragrances – from Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Welton London and Loewe – add to the seasonal vibe with their own olfactory charms…
Carolina Herrera – 212 Heroes
The vibrant energy of Manhattan’s summer comes alive in Carolina Herrera’s youthful fragrance, 212 Heroes. This fougère fruity blend—crafted by Carlos Benaim, Domitille Michalon Bertier and Juliette Karagueuzoglou—combines refreshing notes of pear and ginger with a hint of lemon haze cannabis in the opening. With a heart of geranium and sage, it transitions into a captivating leathery base. Housed in a metallic skateboard- shaped bottle, this eau de toilette presents a uniquely fragrant symbol of freedom. Available at Sephora.
Dolce & Gabbana – Light Blue Summer Vibes Pour Homme
Evoking the energy of the sea, Dolce & Gabbana presents the Light Blue Summer Vibes Pour Homme. Created by Alberto Morillas, this fragrance captures the essence of summer through three carefully selected notes. The olfactive journey begins with a citrusy opening followed by an earthy and woody cypress note at the heart. Drying down, the perfume leaves a sensual trace, thanks to its amberwood note. Wrapped in a bottle adorned with an intricate Majolica print, this eau de toilette is a delightful addition to the Light Blue collection. Dolce & Gabbana has also appointed David Gandy and Bianca Balti as the faces of the fragrance’s campaign, marking a continuation of the love story between the duo and the house.
Chanel – Bleu de Chanel
Bleu de Chanel by Chanel has asserted its status in the world of fragrances as a one of the most iconic scent lines for modern men. To celebrate the continued success of these olfactive masterpieces, the house has chosen “Dune” and “Call Me by Your Name” star Timothée Chalamet as ambassador of the fragrance line. The appointment also marks the French-American actor’s very frst collaboration with the house. With his irresistible charm and distinctive style, Chalamet embodies the spirit of the line’s next chapter, as he personifes a man who defes boundaries. Mario Sorrenti captured the campaign’s visuals, which features the actor in the Bleu de Chanel’s emblematic blue shade, while an accompanying short flm directed by Martin Scorsese will be released in the fall.
Louis Vuitton – Pacific Chill
The latest addition to Louis Vuitton’s Cologne Perfume collection, Pacific Chill brings the beauty and energizing essence of the Pacific Coast. Inspired by a detoxifying smoothie he enjoyed, perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud highlights the lively essence of blackcurrant as the opening note in this olfactive ensemble. Notes of citrus and coriander further amplify the top layer, followed by notes of basil, peppermint, May rose and carrot seed to create a sensation of leaves brushing against the skin. The base features a creamy facet, thanks to the notes of date, fig and apricot. Just like other fragrances in the collection, Pacific Chill comes with a travel case and a trunk adorned with a sea-and-landscape painting by Alex Israel.
Loewe – Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic
Dubbed the “party capital of the world,” Ibiza is synonymous with its nightlife and constant festivities. Spanish maison Loewe illustrated the liveliness of the island with its new perfume, Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic. Created by Jonathan Anderson in collaboration with the brand’s in-house perfumer Nuria Cruelles, the fragrance upgrades its predecessor, Paula’s Ibiza, with smooth sweetness and tropical hints. It opens with a citrusy layer, followed by notes of ylang-ylang, jasmine sambac and orange blossom, enhanced by incense and coconut. The perfume dries down to a woody and powdery accord, accented by a creamy touch of vanilla.
Welton London – Ryokucha
Welton London captures the serene tranquility and freshness of early mornings with an olfactory creation called the Ryokucha. Created by John-Paul Welton, the fragrance takes ryokucha—a Japanese term for green tea—to new heights. On top of this olfactive pyramid is a citrusy layer formed by notes of mandarin, bitter orange and grapefruit as an energizing opener. At its heart, green tea and yerba mate notes create a soothing and elevated experience. The fragrance concludes with a woody base of Atlas cedar and ambergris, adding an earthy touch. Part of Welton London’s Luxury collection, Ryokucha is formulated as an eau de parfum.
