Prada recently revealed their new campaign for the fall-winter 2012 season, a collection that explores the boundaries between nostalgic masculinity and contemporary regality
The campaign features the four powerhouse actors, Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe, who also walked the runway at Prada’s fall-winter show. Captured by photographer David Sims, the gentlemen exude a classic heroism in a collection that the company hopes will redefine the standard of dress for the modern man.
The posh label says Jamie and his campaign castmates were picked because they are all “influential icons of fashion” and represent a “crossgenerational broadening of the face of Prada menswear.”
The company went on the explain, “In the campaign each leading man plays a different archetype, layering codes of dress in a subtle parody of power and role-play. Exaggerated poses and conspiratorial glances hint at the game, a palm solemnly placed on the heart or into a pocket with precise formality.”
