Longines Limited Edition Commemorative Timepiece

COMMEMORATIVE TIMEPIECE. To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the first ever, non-stop transatlantic, Longines releases a limited edition timepiece

The first non-stop transatlantic flight by American aviator Charles Lindbergh in 1927 was timed by Longines. This year, at the 90th anniversary of the historic occasion, the Swiss watch brand presents a 90-piece limited edition timepiece: The Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch 90th Anniversary. The watch sports a large 47.5mm case, a brushed silver dial featuring a 180-degree scale used in calculating longitude and a “railtrack” minute circle. The bracelet, quite naturally, is a brown leather aviator-style strap with an extension that allows the watch to be worn on top of a pilot’s jacket, which, traditionally, would be rather bulky. The Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch 90th Anniversary would certainly seem at home aboard the legendary “Spirit of St. Louis.”
