TIME FOR ASIA. Tudor targets the rising Asian market by recruiting Asian star Jay Chou as its new #BornToDare Ambassador
After recruiting big names such as David Beckham, Lady Gaga and the New Zealand All Blacks, Tudor now looks to Asian celebrity Jay Chou as its latest #BornToDare Ambassador. Dubbed the “King of Asian Pop”, Chou is more than just a pretty face, as he is an award winning singer/songwriter who has also proved that he has the acting skills to make it into Hollywood.
Fascinated with music from an early age, Chou’s mother started his musical journey with piano lesson from the early age of four years old. To cut a long story short, his passion for music from an early age lead him to writing songs and eventually to a music producer who would teach him the ins-and-outs of the music industry and eventually lead to the release of his debut album in 2000. With a slew of hit records under his belt, Chou got the opportunity to star in his first movie “Initial-D”, where he not only acted but sang the original sound track of the movie. This in turn led to more acting roles, and eventually staring in several Hollywood movies such as “Green Hornet” where he played the role popularized by Bruce Lee, and was in “Now You See Me 2”. Chou continues to be a heart-throb in the Asian entertainment industry, which is no wonder why Tudor picked him up for their latest campaign.
The timepiece paired for Jay Chou in the new campaign is the Tudor 1926, a highly refined mechanical timepiece that is seen to be somewhat understated, butt combines traditional horology and contemporary watchmaking to present an outstanding piece for the wrist.
