SLEEK AND SOUND. A call to the modish sixties, Gucci’s soft-hued fall/winter collection is a refreshing addition in a period that usually pleads for nothing but dark colors
Interestingly, the silhouettes and materials soften, too, as the creative director Frida Giannini takes inspiration from Kris Knight’s chromatic portraits this season. The brand’s “breadwinners,” their bags, are also unusually subtle and sleek. One example: the convertible leather bag toted on the runway as clutch. With removable shoulder strap, it can be used as a shoulder bag, while signature bamboo handles let the wearer carry larger loads. Designed in both dark and pastel colors, this particular tote is both practical and sophisticated.
