HIMALAYAN RHAPSODY. More often than not, fashion houses present designs that fit the market and center on modernity. But that is not the case for Etro’s fall/ winter 2013, which directs its attention to the evolution of tradition.
Born straight from the mountains of Himalayas and Ireland, the pieces are designed to respond to both the culture and temperature of those two different places, resulting in the opulent use of motif and rich materials. It does not lack details either; braiding, embroidery and knits appear throughout the collection, with forest-inspired shaped jewelries emulating a spark on their own.
