German footwear brand <a href="https://daman.co.id/tag/birkenstock">Birkenstock</a>, best known for combining innovation and functionality for their products, recently unveiled a new sandal called Zürich Tech. As the name suggests, the sandal re-envisions the iconic Zürich model that was created in 1964 by Karl Birkenstock and infuses a new contemporary silhouette and materials, resulting in a distinctive design that is both dynamic and stylish. 
In terms of functionality, this fresh iteration of the historic model is now completed with the brand’s Original Birkenstock Footbed, which is known for its orthopaedic qualities. With this feature, the Zürich Tech enables its wearer to walk comfortably—“walking as nature intended” as the brand puts it—while shifting perceptions around modern footwear.

As Zürich Tech drew inspiration from the functionality of winter sports, some parts have been specifically designed to conform to today’s aesthetics. On that note, the classic Birkenstock buckle is replaced by a monochromatic, adjustable black buckle. The sporty look is further enhanced with suede uppers and a lightweight EVA outsole, providing support and durability without compromising weight.
