What We Learned from Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2019: Part 1

The second MFW this fall/winter season and this calendar year. As usual, Milan brought the best crafts out of the collections show on their stages. With a larger number of shows, means there are more trends we caught up on.

Here they are.

Shades of Blue

Top: Biuu, Emporio Armani, M1992
Bottom: Ermenegildo Zegna, Prada, Sunnei

It seems that azure still reigns tall later this year. The various shades of the color of life was used on many pieces, but mostly for warmer outers such as jackets, parkas and suits.

Counter Winter

Top: DSquared2, No.21, M1992
Bottom: Pal Zileri, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, Versace

This came quite as a surprise to us, because how could anyone in their sane mind would wear tank tops in the chilly weather? Yet, many designers predicted that it would be ‘cool’!

Patterns Galore

Top: Pal Zileri, Fendi, Marni
Bottom: Neil Barrett, Etro, Prada

Be it experimental, artsy, signature, or even just abstract – but wild and bold patterns are still going to be a big thing on FW19. That, and the fact that you will definitely stand out in them.
