PAINT IT BLACK. A watch that’s qualified for spaceflight, the Omega Speedmaster is certainly one long-lasting and covetous collector’s item.
This time the iconic piece, which took part in NASA’s Gemini 4 mission, gets reinvented in black ceramic. Using an accent black zirconium oxide ceramic dial, the so-called “Moonwatch” strikes all the right chords for sleekness and sporty zeal. Its 44.25mm case is affirmatively big and fitting the current trend. The two sub-dials on the show are innovatively simple to record the watch seconds and chronograph timing, complemented by a date window at 6 o’clock. The rugged presentation is completed with a highly durable black-coated nylon fabric strap—evidently charming yet altogether masculine.
