SLIM IS IN. Earlier this year at Baselworld, La Montre Hermès proudly unveiled its newest line: Slim d’Hermès. Inspired by a typeface the style of dial numerals created by French graphic designer Philippe Apeloig, this watch is all about visual beauty.
For the men’s pieces, the case size measures 39.5mm and all use Hermès’ own in-house movement, the ultra-slim caliber H1950. The basic Slim d’Hermès in stainless steel or rose gold features hours and minutes, and a seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Turn the watch over and admire the painstakingly etched “H” motif decoration on the movement surface, from which you can spot a micro-rotor that winds and powers the watch for 42 hours max. Go to the Watch Lab section for more on this new collection.
