Top 5 Looks from Rococo the Men’s Store at PIMFW

Rococo the Men’s Store practiced the theory of opposites—to great effect—during its show at Plaza Indonesia Men’s Fashion Week (PIMFW) 2015

The new multi-brand store made its fashion week debut on the first day of PIMFW, held in partnership with DA MAN. It could be quite a challenge to showcase fall/winter ’15 collections from brands as diverse as the ones they carry (John Varvatos, John Varvatos Star USA, Belstaff, Vince, J. Lindeberg, Stone Rose, Joe’s Jeans and Gilded Age), so it was a nice decision to present them in a world of contrasts.

Entitled “Chaos and the Calm,” the show mixes rock and roll leather jackets and rugged jeans with knitwear, plaid shirts and jackets.

Celebrity couple Farri Icksan and Shareefa Daanish, a guitarist and model/budding musician respectively, opened the show with a musical performance—him on guitar and her behind drums.

The first part of the show was dedicated to the “calm” and it featured models rocking basic staples in somber, fall-appropriate colors. The “chaos” came later on, and Rococo wasn’t lying about the “rock and roll” part. The second half of the show was all about leather jackets, leather pants and sunglasses. Black might be the main color here, and it could be quite a bore on its own. Thankfully, Rococo added some patterned t-shirts or accessories into the mix, creating a nice juxtapose to the whole look.
