Winter has finally settled in, and even here in the tropics, the air is getting colder—and wetter, for that matter. And certainly December, January and the next couple of months or so are closely associated with chilly weather and much more challenging terrains. Tackling both with class and style is American apparel brand Timberland. Not that this comes as a surprise, though, as the brand has long been known for sturdy adventure wear for outdoor enthusiasts.

For their fall/winter ’16/’17 collection, Timberland reinvented their classic silhouettes while referencing the hues of warmer seasons. Titled The Harvest Gold, the collection features a wide variety of brown shades—from amber to gold to caramel—derived from the color of wheat. In true Timberland fashion, this collection provides comfort and warmth even during the most topsy-turvy weather and in the dead of winter. Some of the most prominent must-haves for the season are listed below:
Mount Major Leather Bomber
This leather bomber jacket offers a modern take on the brand’s iconic style. Building off workwear silhouettes from past collections, this particular jacket now comes in a slim fit, making it versatile enough to be worn for a wide range of occasions. The waxed finish of the jacket and its rich brown hue gives it a stylish rugged-yet-refined look, making it a perfect addition to, say, a brushed flannel and denim combination. It would even look quite appropriate over a shirt and tie for a manly, smart-casual office look.
Warner River Shirt
An essential for all seasons, the 100-percent cotton Warner River shirt comes in plaid bearing Timberland’s signature wheat color. This double-layer shirt is woven in a modern fit, making it ideal for layering. It works really well with casual knitwear or worn under thick cable-knit cardigans.
