The latest partnership between music mogul Pharrell Williams and Adidas is a 19-piece collection that highlights human race and colors. And it’s out this Thursday!
With all the collaborations that Adidas has churned out in recent years, it is hard to keep track on what’s in and what’s out unless you’re a self-professed sneaker-head. This colorful collection from Pharrell Williams, however, is beyond skin deep, as the name “Hu” refers to, in his own words, “is short for human—human being, human race, humankind.” Cleverly, the singer-songwriter adds, “But Hu itself is also a reference to color. As human beings, we all have a color. We all look different, we all speak different languages, but we’re all connected.”
This interesting collection comprises 19 pieces: 14 items of apparel and five different shoe pairs. Each bears flags, stripes and is emblazoned with the text “Human Race” in English, French or Japanese. While the yellow special-edition NMD kicks are certainly among the most coveted ones, some other sports shoes in “Tangerine” or “Scarlet” would certainly be collector’s items. Yet most importantly, the collection will be available online and hit the stores starting this Thursday, September 29, 2016. Better get in line fast before everybody else snaps them.
