Even more pieces from Virgil Abloh and Nigo’s collaboration for Louis Vuitton.
While 2020 has proven to be a tough year for fashion, there has been quite a few debuts, launches and collaborations that became particularly memorable. And among the top entries on that list is LV2, aka Louis Vuitton Squared, a standalone collaboration between Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh and noted Japanese streetwear designer Nigo.
As previously reported on Prestige, this capsule collection includes quite an array of creations, from ready-to-wear pieces and leather goods to shoes and accessories. Notable features of LV2 x Nigo collaboration are dedicated graphics and interpretations of Louis Vuitton’s signatures. Thematically, travel is once again at the forefront – as expected from maison Louis Vuitton – along with an observation of the London Mod-era dandy through a Tokyo lens. There are distinctly sartorial touches similar to what was presented in Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection along with nods to Nigo’s Human Made brand.
The first part of the LV2 collection was released on June 26, and now, the second wave has landed on August 28. For more info, head on over to www.louisvuitton.com or visit your nearest LV boutique.
