Tag Heuer Teams up With Gran Turismo Sport

GRAN’S ENTRANCE. Tag Heuer has recently announced a partnership with popular racing video game title, Gran Turismo Sport. A world first in both video gaming and watch industry

 

 

The 87th Geneva International Motor Show played witness to one of the most exciting announcements ever made for both the worlds of horology and video gaming. Surrounded by racing cars that the watch brand has partnered with, Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and president of LVMH Group Watch division, along with Kazunori Yamauchi, executive vice president of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios Inc and producer of the “Gran Turismo” series, confirmed that TAG Heuer would be the official timekeeper for the soon-to-be released “Gran Turismo Sport.”

The latest iteration of the popular racing video game franchise will feature Tag Heuer’s Live Timing Technology which promises an ultra-realistic timing solution, adding a whole new level of realism to the game. Gran Turismo Sport is the seventh sequel to the series, and will be the first one on the PS4. The game has always been known to maximize its consoles capabilities to the fullest, and from the many trailers available online, the level of realism from the game is mind blowing.
