TAG Heuer pays tribute to the early days of motor racing with the Monaco chronograph racing

TAG HEUER MONACO CHRONOGRAPH RACING BLUE
Swiss luxury watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has quite a track record of creating surprising designs. One fine example is the brand’s iconic square-shaped watch launched in 1969: the TAG Heuer Monaco. This year, the brand presents a new interpretation of its famed racing chronograph with a distinctive finish. Introducing the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue Limited Edition.
In the early days of motor racing, cars were distinguished by their national colors rather than manufacturer or sponsor liveries. Each country had specific hues: There’s the renowned British racing green, the vibrant Italian red and Germany’s initial use of white before transitioning to silver. And then there’s the unmistakable blue associated with the French, which inspired TAG Heuer’s latest creation. This tone also evokes the colors sported by esteemed automotive brands and, at the same time, the striking lime yellow accents add a fresh touch to the watch.
MOVEMENT
Encased within a sandblasted grade 2 titanium casing, the Calibre 11 automatic chronograph movement powers the watch

DIAL
The silvered sunray brushed dial is reminiscent of the engine-turned dashboard seen in sports cars from the 1920s and 1930s
