Sucker Punch, starring Emily Browning and directed by Zack Snyder, is a story of a girl trapped in her own imaginary world, and fighting is her only way out.
Set in the 1950s, the story of Sucker Punch revolves around an institutionalized young girl trapped in her own imaginative reality.
Baby Doll is portrayed by Emily Browning (The Uninvited)—Amanda Seyfried turned down the role due to scheduling conflict. Warner Bros. Inc. agreed to distribute Sucker Punch after the success of Director Zack Snyder’s 2009 film, The Watchmen.
The cast underwent some 12 weeks for martial-arts training prior to filming and included swords and choreography.
The film itself is Snyder’s first movie that was not a remake of another work. It’s one of those movies that you’ll either really love or really hate, there will be no fence-sitters on this.
