Toteme Extends Its Minimalist Vision Into Menswear

Twelve years in the making, the Stockholm label’s debut menswear collection translates its signature restraint into relaxed silhouettes, Japanese denim and considered details

A minimalist wardrobe built to transcend seasonal trends has long been central to Stockholm-based Toteme. Now, that philosophy extends into menswear, a project founders Karl Lindman and Elin Kling had considered for 12 years before bringing it to life. First teased in an Instagram video, the debut has quickly drawn attention for its quiet-luxury sensibility.

Designed in tandem with Alexander Häggblad, an alumnus of Hedi Slimane’s Celine, the collection reinterprets the womenswear line through more relaxed silhouettes. Signature pieces such as the scarf jacket emerge as key looks alongside Japanese denim and crisp shirting. Elsewhere, a jacket inspired by a pilot uniform features a map-motif lining, a nod to how pilots navigate their way home, finished with the quiet precision that has come to define Toteme.
