Shopping for Charity: Patrick Owen’s SS19 Pop-Up Store at Plaza Indonesia

Indonesian fashion brand Patrick Owen collaborates with artist Ronald Apriyan, Tencel, and Rajnik for their SS19 collection.

On February 20, 2019, Indonesian high-street designer label Patrick Owen presented a charity event at the Patrick Owen’s Pop-Up store in L1 South Lobby of Plaza Indonesia. Supported by BNI Emerald, Plaza Indonesia, and Tencel, Patrick Owen invited its VIP customers and friends and introduced them to the SS19 collections. Patrick Owen’s Packaging Room Pop-Up Store was available from February to March 2019.

Exclusively on the day, part of the proceeds from every purchase of Patrick Owen’s SS19 collection will be donated to Yayasan Jantung Indonesia, Yayasan Mitra Museum Indonesia, Happy Hearts, Art for Refugee, and Lions Club Tulip.  In its SS19 collection, which is called “Altera”, Patrick Owen has collaborated with artist Ronald Apriyan to create Botanical Horoscopes illustrations that are presented in the artists’ canvas paintings, scarves, and sculptures.

Aside from collaborating with Ronald Apriyan, Patrick Owen also collaborates with Tencel and Rajnik. Tencel is a company that produces cellulose fibres of botanic origin that defines a new standard of sustainability and natural comfort. Some of the SS19 collection uses Tencel as its fabric, such as in woman’s shirts and men’s pants. The designer also created unisex ribbed sweater slip-on sandals with local talent, Rajnik.

Along with the fashion collection, Patrick Owen created limited-edition notebooks with Papermark that exclusively made as a part of the donation for the Yayasan Jantung Indonesia, Yayasan Mitra Museum Indonesia, Happy Hearts, Art for Refugee, and Lions Club Tulip.

With Patrick Owen, the Pop-Up store always stands out. For the SS19 collection’s Pop-Up store, Patrick Owen commissioned Booth Designer Ryan Erianto and Contractor Mori Workshop to build up an industrial-inspired store.

At the event, the guests were enjoying a set of the playlist from DJ Roy Ananda and free-flow drinks from Jack Daniels.
