Add a touch of self expression with the latest fragrances from Guerlain, Jean Paul Gaultier, Montblanc and more

In recent years, fashion houses have explored various interpretations of their signature fragrances and Guerlain is no exception. The French house now presents a highly concentrated version of its 2014 creation, L’Homme Idéal. Aptly named L’Homme Idéal Parfum, this gourmand scent intensifies the almond-leather combination of the original. Under the expertise of perfumer Delphine Jelk, the fragrance highlights the rich almondy character of amaretto. A deep leather accord defines the heart, adding boldness and depth. The scent then dries down to earthy patchouli and sensual musk, creating a sophisticated and enduring trail.

Introduced in 1924, Montblanc’s storied Meisterstück remains an icon of writing culture, embodying both exceptional craftsmanship and performance. This timeless instrument now inspires Black Meisterstück, a fragrance that captures the essence of the writing experience through a bold and intense scent. Created by Jordi Fernández, the composition places smoky incense at its core, symbolizing the confident strokes of a pen. Notes of amber follow while nutmeg and ginger add warmth and complexity. The fragrance settles into an enveloping base of Akigalawood, vetiver, and patchouli. Housed in a sleek black bottle reminiscent of Montblanc’s ink flacons, Black Meisterstück is an olfactive tribute to a legendary writing instrument.

How does one celebrate love and its many splendors? Dolce & Gabbana offers an exquisite answer—with fragrance. This year, the house introduces Devotion for Men, a bold counterpart to its signature Devotion scent. To mark the launch, Dolce & Gabbana unveiled a campaign directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. Set in the lively heart of Palermo, the campaign film follows actor Michele Morrone as he navigates a bustling market with British presenter Maya Jama—until they are separated. His search for her leads to an encounter with a group of women, each presenting a different challenge that puts his devotion to the test. The fragrance itself blends lemon and patchouli with rich coffee notes, a fitting homage to Italy’s deep-rooted coffee culture.

Rabanne’s futuristic fragrance saga enters a new chapter with Phantom Elixir. Following last year’s launch of Phantom Intense, the maison amplifies the scent’s intensity with this latest release. Unlike its predecessors, Phantom Elixir omits citrus notes, instead introducing marine accords for a crisp, invigorating opening. The heart unfolds with mineral facets, seamlessly blending with oud to create a bold and distinctive character. True to the Phantom line, vanilla lingers at the base, leaving a warm and captivating trail. The bottle itself reflects the elixir’s transformation, rendered in a striking black-to-silver ombré—an irresistible addition to any fragrance collection.

Jean Paul Gaultier, the industry’s celebrated enfant terrible, introduces a new—and quite literally—scandalous fragrance. Scandal Pour Homme Intense reimagines the original scent with a richer leather-infused composition. Clary sage, with its amber undertones, joins forces with vetiver to create a rich and textured leather base. The launch was accompanied by a playful campaign starring the “Gaultier Dolls,” led by model Louis Baines. Captured by Gorka Postigo and Adrian Sgandurra, the campaign’s visuals showcase Baines aboard a transformed Venice Simplon-Orient-Express—rebranded as the Scandal Express. Adding to the intrigue is a detective-themed online experience, “Mysteries on the Scandal Express,” available on the house’s website.

Named after the iconic Japanese manga by Masamune Shirow, Ghost in the Shell by Etat Libre d’Orange explores the intersection of nature and biotechnology to create a truly futuristic scent. Designed by Etienne de Swardt, this fragrance blends citrus and white florals with cutting-edge synthetic ingredients. Hexyl acetate and Aqual introduce an aquatic twist to vibrant yuzu, while traces of orange meld with jasmine absolute, Mugane and creamy milky notes at the heart. Moss anchors the base, its earthy depth softened by musky and woody hints of Vinyl Guaiacol and Orcanox. Encased in a pink bottle adorned with robotic-themed branding, this fragrance is a tribute to the cyberpunk magnum opus. Available at C&F.
