Sailing aesthetics and sailor uniforms remain a strong source of seasonal inspiration
Nautical turns out to be a micro-trend this season. It appeared at a number of shows, such as those by Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and Giorgio Armani, who took the inspiration and presented it as the modern-day sailor getup. The silhouettes are decked out in the true nautical panoply including striped sweaters, vest and tops. It is still not right to wear the theme from head to toe, but a couple of key pieces here and there is a good way to bring your wardrobe up to speed.
