Italian mega fashion brand Prada joins the growing list of fashion powerhouses that are championing sustainability.
In a bid to save the earth, Prada aims to switch all of its virgin nylon to recycled ones by the end of 2021, specifically after the Spring/Summer 2020 women’s collection.
“This project highlights our continued efforts towards promoting a responsible business,” said Prada Group Head of Marketing and Communication Lorenzo Bertelli.
Branding it Re-Nylon, the brand’s world-renowned material will now be made with repurposed carpets. The innovative textile is recreated and reimagined by Italian recycling textile leader Aquafil.
