Pitti Uomo Postponed Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

Yet another fashion event has been postponed due to the global pandemic. This time it’s Pitti Uomo, billed as one of the most important global events for men’s fashion held twice a year in Florence.

Cancellations of key menswear fashion events continues. After the Paris and London shows were officially cancelled and The Board of Directors of the Fédération de la Haute Couture de la Mode announced the elimination of both PFW events this year, more bad news came from Milan, Italy. Pitti Immagine Uomo, the biannual menswear fair held in Florence, is broadly considered as the leading menswear fair, with editors, fashion brands and buyers flying in from around the world. Now, Pitti Immagine Uomo no.98 has been postponed with a new schedule set for September 2 through September 4, just before the start of the menswear season. The event will still be held in Florence Fortezza da Basso.

“In light of the national and international situation, Pitti Immagine revised the calendar of its tradeshows for the second half of 2020, including postponements, confirmations and cancellations,” stated the organization on its official Instagram post.

With Italy being one of the most affected countries by the coronavirus, this reschedule is definitely for the best.
