Inspired by <a href="https://backend.daman.co.id/?s=Pharell" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pharrell</a>’s fascination for the cosmos (also worth noting that he is a massive “Trekker”), the man of many collaborations along with <a href="https://backend.daman.co.id/?s=Richard+Mille" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Richard Mille</a> launches the RM 52-05 Manual Winding Tourbillon Pharrell Williams. The watch that’s more of a wrist art puts us through the viewpoint to one of Pharrell’s dreams; how the Earth is observed from Mars instead of the usual other way around.

“I’ve always been fascinated by looking up at the sky. What could be more inspiring than all that ever was and all that ever will be? Space, before your eyes. It’s yours to see,” explained Pharell. “When I look up at the sky I&#8217;m looking at God. I feel part of so many different parts of a whole. This is the Alpha and the Omega.”
The watch features a manual winding tourbillon movement that’s built with a combination of 90% Grade 5 titanium which is “biocompatible, highly corrosion-resistant and remarkably rigid”, 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium—which are combination of mechanical properties that can be found in aerospace and aeronautic industry. All of those sits on a dazzling blue aventurine glass—also known as ‘goldstone—that represents the landscape of outer space along with its stars and planets.

While made in the usual Richard Mille fashion, an interesting feature which connects the dial to the movement that’s hard to miss is the appearance of an astronaut’s upper suit with a reflection of it looking to earth from mars. Attached to the helmets are two diamonds and a black sapphire that represents projectors and cameras, while engraving the design took 15 hours to accomplish. It is then hand painted using an airbrush that was initially developed for street artist <a href="https://backend.daman.co.id/?s=cyril+kongo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cyril Kongo</a>, who hand-painted the RM 68-01.

As for the casing, the RM- 52-05’s brown cermet packaging combines the lightness of titanium with the hardness of a ceramic and ensured to be water-resistant to 50 metres/ The watch is now limitedly available to 30 pieces, with a price tag of $969,000.
