The latest watch from the Italian brand is the new entry in the Chrono Complicazioni segment, a watch family characterized by a combination of high-tech materials, complex calibers and small quantities
The inexhaustible drive to honor an illustrious history developing instruments for generations of heroes and an urgent ambition to define the leading edge of imaginative watchmaking are the two forces that inspire the Panerai manufacture. Speaking of which, the Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica is the true expression of these dual goals.
Aesthetically, a fully monochromatic black palette defines the bold aesthetic character of the Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica. The matte black 44mm ceramic case and bezel, on the other hand, are lightweight, highly scratch-resistant and retain their tactile surface and deep, saturated color. Moreover, there’s also a light glints off the sun-brushed surface of the sandwich dial in the same inky-black hue, while the nautical tachymeter scale present on the dial recalls the brand’s history of designing instruments for sea-centered pursuits.
Inside, its P.9100 movement, which is an automatic caliber with a power reserve of three days, characterizes the engine beneath the dial. Limited to only 500 pieces, Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica is completed in a black alligator strap with a matte finish, a second strap in black rubber and a trapezoidal pin buckle in titanium with DLC coating.
