The Daytona series is one of Rolex’s most treasured collections; a household brand that have been produced from as far as the 1960s. The 6264 pieces, also known as the Paul Newman Rolex, were considered distinct because of its cream-colored dial–or as they call it–”exotic dial”. It got associated with the legendary movie star and automobile racer because it was his favorite timepiece, and Newman was often photographed wearing one, especially during his racing period.

Paul Newman’s Rare 18K Yellow Gold Rolex Daytona is even more singular, being an ultra rare yellow gold edition produced only for three years, from 1969 to 1972. Only four pieces have resurfaced on the market so far making this one the fifth. Details about it also indicate that it’s really a one of a kind–thanks to some tiny details such as the dials and dial indicators colors, the “Daytona” writing above the lower chronograph, the pump pusher combo, or the solid 18K gold bracelet. Not to mention, it is very well preserved.
