IN THE LAB OF LUXURY. Performance wear is the new black in fashion, and one that strongly epitomizes this trend is the ongoing collaboration between NikeLab and Riccardo Tisci
Hot on the heels of their Dunk Lux High shoes launched last February are two highly anticipated capsule collections dubbed “NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined,” with the first hitting select stores in July and the other a month later.
The first collection will comprise mostly black-and-white pieces, akin to Tisci’s trademark palette. Yet, everything is tailored to perfection, as NikeLab’s actual research lab in Beaverton, Oregon, has brought in top athletes to thoroughly inspect the designs before committing to production.
The second offering, though, will sport floral prints that combine blossoms from Oregon (Nike’s home state), Taranto, Italy (Tisci’s origin), and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (as an homage to the upcoming Olympics).
