Incepted in the late ’90s, the Air Max Sunder is among Nike’s most unique creations and after years of not getting an update, the sneakers got a special customization by Comme de Garçons.
This new design is a result of Rei Kawakubo’s creativity and comes in three new iterations: triple white, triple black and white/black. However, the most striking element is arguably the simplification on the exterior through the addition of a zipper fastening that covers the shoe laces. A small swoosh finds itself embedded on the upper and the tongue is emblazoned with the “AIR” branding embroidery. Furthermore, the piece is crafted using premium neoprene and nubuck and features the signature Air midsole that represents the sportswear label’s DNA.
