<h2>CLASH OF THE ICONS. What happens when iconoclasts collaborate? Ask Louis Vuitton. To celebrate its 160th anniversary, the revered brand is launching a special project named “The Icon and Iconoclast,” in which it recruits six renowned and creative iconoclasts: fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, photographer and filmmaker Cindy Sherman, architect Frank Gehry, shoe designer Christian Louboutin, product designer Marc Newson and fashion designer Rei Kawakubo.</h2>

<p>Each is given creative freedom to explore, innovate, redesign and even redefine the iconic monogramed range of bags, trunks and luggage which will be available from mid-October this year. The initiators of the project, Delphine Arnault and Nicolas Ghesquière, believe that these individuals represent the best in their respective fields.</p>
