New Rave: Louis Vuitton’s Spring/ Summer 2022 Menswear Campaign

Vivid and kaleidoscopic, Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2022 menswear campaign is a tribute to rave culture.

Designed by the late Virgil Abloh, the collection was captured by the lens of Tim Walker and presented in a cinematic work titled “Amen Break,” a reference to a widely-sampled drum break taken from a 1969 song “Amen, Brother,” which was performed by American soul group The Winston. Rainbow gradations, fun motifs and neon shades are featured in this collection, cleverly matching a variety of textures and shapes. The collection also touches on the themes of martial arts and sports in general, featuring activewear pieces such as matching technical tracksuits and trackpants, sneakers, hoodies, soccer T-shirts and leather varsities embroidered with the house’s initials. Last but not least, an eye-catching set of jacket and denim pants depicting a natural landscape will definitely steal attention.
