Tiffin lounge and Grand Cafe restaurant at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong are getting themselves ready for a new kind of high tea experience, which will be unveiled on October 1.
With its floor-to-ceiling windows, Tiffin lounge, located one floor above the lobby of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, becomes a popular spot to view the city’s panoramic skyline, while listening to a live classic music trio and, come October 1, 2011, enjoying a lavish high tea set.
The set, which is a part of the hotel’s latest high tea offering, will include Mango Crème Chiboust, Cherry Shortcake, Chocolate Mille Feuille and other popular desserts that are served on a luxurious five-tier high tea stand.
For a price of HK$218 or HK$436 for two portions (HK$238 or HK$476 for two portions on weekends), you’re entitled to not only all those mouth-watering delicacies, but also unlimited ice-cream, as well as Illy caffè or a selection of 14 Ronnefeldt teas, which include earl grey, camomile and green leaf.
Meanwhile, at Grand Cafe, the hotel’s signature restaurant, there’s another kind of high tea experience. High tea buffet at Grand Cafe includes Mini Smoked Salmon Sandwiches, Mini Parma Ham Sandwiches and Chicken Rollers, amongst many other delicacies. Fifteen types of desserts such as Fresh Strawberry Tart, Chocolate Cup Cakes and Raspberry Lamingtons, follow suit.
Also available is a live cooking station that serves Crispy Waffles. The best thing about it is it allows you to mix and design your own waffle flavor.
