Natural Easy-To-Find Home Remedies for Treating Hair Loss

25% of men start losing their hair before their 30s, 85% by the time they hit 50. This could only mean hair loss is inevitable as you age. With the hair being your “crowning glory”, the idea of going bald can, indeed, be a nightmare for most men.

Apart from being hereditary (which is mostly guaranteed if you do have a bald grandpa), some of the causes to hair loss include lacking vitamins, unbalanced diet, smoking, stress, as well as too much caffeine intake.

But before you go out and buy supplements and special tonics, here are some easy to get natural remedies that can actually find in your kitchen and garden:

Aloe Vera

If you have any aloe vera plant your garden, it is a great home remedy for treating hair loss (and for face treatment, too). Not only does it soothe and repair a damaged scalp, aloe vera also helps clean up sebum, an oil that clogs follicles and prevents hair from growing back. Simply cut it up until its split open in half, and massage the flesh of aloe vera gel directly along your scalp every morning.

Onion & Garlic

Onion and garlic are remedies that have made an appearance in many of the “hair loss treatment” list. Onion contains sulfur which helps increase blood circulation, hence promoting collagen growth. It also contains antibacterial properties that treat scalp infections. Much like its cousin, garlic is full of minerals and vitamins that naturally condition and reverse hair loss. Juice an amount of onion or garlic (or maybe try both?), and work it to your scalp and let sit for 15 minutes. Some even recommend to let it soak for the whole night and then rinse using your regular shampoo.

Coconut Milk

Coconut is known for its potent moisturizing abilities, which explains why many shampoos and conditioners are coconut-based. On the other hand, one of the leading reasons for hair loss is due to having a dry scalp. In relation to both of them, coconut and/or coconut milk is a great option to naturally reverse hair loss caused by dryness and bring out your hair follicles. Massage coconut milk or grinded coconut meat into the scalp and let sit for 10 minutes a day.

Apple Cedar Vinegar

When hair follicles are blocked, it deprives the scalp of oil which allows bacteria to accumulate and healthy oils become scarce, resulting in hair loss and even potentially baldness. Another way of removing clogged hair follicles, other than the first entry on our list, is by using apple cedar vinegar. Try rinsing your scalp with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water.
