JOURNEY TO THE EAST. New year celebrates the opening of a new store of Mario Minardi to reach shoe lovers in the eastern side of Indonesia
Indonesia’s own Mario Minardi officially set their foot on another big city in their home country, when the shoe brand opened its latest store in the city of Makassar, in the South Sulawesi province on 2 January. This is their fourth store in the country and the second one outside the capital Jakarta; previously, the brand has launched their third boutique in the city of Bandung, West Java.
The newly opened store occupies a 110 square meters wide space inside Trans Studio Mall Makassar. The lounge-like boutique is designed with classic solid wood and white furniture, mirroring the look and feel of Mario Minardi’s flagship at Kota Kasablanka mall in Jakarta.
The Makassar store houses Mario Minardi’s shoe styles, including the brand’s signature Handpainted series. First introduced in 2015, the shoes of Handpainted series showcase a patina technique that creates color gradations.
