Also featuring Charlie Kennedy, Sonny Olivera, Karlie Kloss and Janiece Dilone
The Versace men’s spring/summer 2017 show at Milan Fashion Week was an eventful one: The models walked down the runway wearing Prince-inspired outfit, while previously unreleased music from the late musician was blaring in the background. Plus, Donatella Versace used the occasion to unveil its fashion film.
The short film is directed by Bruce Weber. The legendary photographer also shot Versace’s fall/winter 2016 campaign, which was unveiled earlier this month. Similarly, supermodels Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Janiece Dilone who front the campaign also make an appearance in the film. The three girls are joined by their male counterparts, Marcus Watts, Trevor Signorino, Charles Kennedy and Sonny Olivera, among others.
But the models are not the only stars in the film. Entitled “Chicago is My Beat,” the film is a tribute to the Windy City and its community. So Weber invited a group of young artists he met while walking down the streets and the renowned Chicago-based Hubbard Street Dance Company to take part in the filming. And not only did they have the chance to share a dance with Hadid and Kloss, but they also got to keep the suits and shoes they wore in the film!
Now where do we sign up for Versace’s next film?
