L’Envol de Cartier Fragrance is Meant to Make You Fly

COME FLY WITH ME. Some fragrances are meant to smell fresh and new, yet real perfumes often cling to nostalgia, reclaiming past moments of joy, melancholy and love

L’Envol de Cartier is one such perfume, and it certainly strikes a chord with many unfamiliar noses to evoke nuances of sentimentality. The idea behind it comes from the French house’s own history, particularly the debut of their men’s timepiece which was inspired by Brazil’s father of aviation, Alberto Santos-Dumont. Quite fittingly, the very name and bottle design for L’Envol embody the intensity of flight. The “airy” ingredients are no less fanciful, with blends of honey and guaiac wood along with musk and patchouli. Rich but mellow, this dandy eau de parfum for men beautifully encapsulates what a modern gent would smell like: sweet but strong, closely familiar but exotically cool.
