First thing first, it’s the realest
Never thought there would come a time when we would be (mis)quoting Iggy Azalea again (“Fancy” is so 2014), but the trailer to Kenzo‘s new campaign made us do it.
For the past few seasons, co-creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have been collaborating with edgy, underrated filmmakers to direct short movies and creating printed ads out of the accompanying film posters. The new tradition continues this fall with another short feature entitled “The Realest Real.”
Telling a story about human’s connection in today’s digital era, the film is directed by actress/author/musician Carrie Brownstein and stars Natasha Lyonne, Mahershala Ali, Laura Harrier, Rowan Blanchard and Kim Gordon. The cast also appears in the campaign images that were photographed by Mark Peckmezian.
The full movie will be released on September 12 during New York Fashion Week, so you might want to check back on this page or Kenzo’s website when it’s out.
