From his early days in front of the camera to his current status as a modern maverick, Keanu Campora has steadily defined a path all his own. This self-made force blends charm, discipline and island-born cool into everything he does. In just a few years, he’s become a rising multi hyphenate—model, actor, creative director, entrepreneur and property developer—deeply rooted in his Bali upbringing. Now returning for his second cover with DAMAN, Keanu once more steps into the spotlight, this time in a special collaboration with French fashion house Dior.

We caught up with the Bali-born talent to talk about how 2025 has kept him on his toes, the personal rituals that keep him grounded and the dream projects he’s quietly building—from luxury villas to a new skincare line for men. As always, Keanu remains refreshingly down to-earth, speaking openly about the realities of social media, maintaining authenticity and staying consistent in a world that rarely slows down. One thing is clear through it all: Keanu Campora is carving out a life and career that’s uniquely his own, one bold step at a time.

DA MAN: Hi Keanu! Now that we’re halfway through 2025, how has the year been treating you so far?
Keanu Campora: Thank you for having me again. This has been a great year so far. I’ve been busy, but it keeps me on my toes. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for me.

DA: Since our last interview, how has your life evolved over the past year?
KC: I think I’ve changed a lot, especially in terms of my mindset. I’m trying to take life more seriously and focus on my goals. I’m more driven now to tick off boxes on my wish list and hit my targets for the year.

DA: What keeps you busy these days? Are there any projects you’re working on or upcoming projects you can share with us?
KC: Yeah, a lot. I’m growing my brand, Mangis The Label, with new collections while trying to reach different parts of the world. I’m also working on a skincare line for men that I plan to launch in the summer of this year. Then, there are my property projects. I’m building several villa units with my friends and family in Bali.

DA: Social media is becoming an ever-important aspect of just about any industry these days. How big of a role does it play in your life?
KC: Social media plays a significant role in my life, especially for work. It’s a way for me to promote myself to the world and find work. I view social media as a platform to promote myself rather than posting too much of my personal life.

DA: You have a large social media following, particularly on Instagram. How do you feel about that and what do you think are the pros and cons of being active on social media in your line of work?
KC: The pros are obviously how we get jobs from social media, which for me sometimes means flying all around the world. As for the cons, it’s the pressure to keep content genuine and reasonable so you don’t get too much hate from it. Staying consistent is also hard.

DA: What content do you usually share on your accounts?
KC: I tend to post mostly work stuff—what I’m doing now and any upcoming projects, whether it’s acting, doing a photoshoot and also when I’m going on holidays. Conversely, I try to keep personal stuff to myself. I only show one side of myself to the world so that they know who I am. Things like going to the gym, surfing and so on—I post those to give my followers a sense of who I am.

DA: How do you maintain genuine engagement with your audience on social media?
KC: There are a lot of ways to keep that going. For example, I like modeling and fitness, so I get a lot of DMs asking me about fitness routines. So, I might post something like, “Try these three exercises today for your next ab workout.” I get a lot of replies and good reviews from content like that. It’s just a way to connect and keep things authentic.

DA: Your Instagram bio says you’re a “local Bali boy.” How has living in Bali influenced your sense of creativity and overall lifestyle?
KC: Bali is the perfect place for me. I was born and raised there, and I feel that my chosen lifestyle is ideal. I’m an island boy. I like to surf, go to the beach and work out. Bali also has some of the best gyms. All of my friends are there and many of them also like to create content, so we keep each other motivated.

DA: Are there any local traditions or cultures in Bali that have really resonated with you?
KC: My dad’s from Bali, so I pray in as most Balinese do and I would often go to a temple. One of the traditions I particularly hold dear is melukat, a cleansing ritual. I perform this ritual twice a year—at the start and middle of the year. I cleanses the body, but also helps me feel lighter and ready restart everything.

DA: By the way, this is your second DA MAN cover, and your first time with Dior. What felt different about doing a fashion shoot in collaboration with a luxury fashion house of this caliber?
KC: The clothing felt different. It feels very motivating to shoot for a big brand that’s established itself globally. It makes you want to do a great job because many people will see it.

DA: Were there any standout pieces featured in this shoot that made you see fashion in a new light?
KC: Definitely. Since I run my own fashion label, I always pay attention to what the high fashion brands are doing. I looked at the details, especially on the bags, rings and sweaters. I learned a lot.

DA: Are there any fashion trends you’re really into right now?
KC: I like to mix things up. Some days, I go for hippie looks; others, I go for a very old-school, old money look.

DA: How would you describe your own style?
KC: Clean, elegant, sophisticated and always up-to-date.

DA: What does self-care look like for you?
KC: Self-care isn’t just beauty stuff—it’s also about taking care of your mind and what’s inside of you. I like keeping my environment reasonable, getting sun and eating healthy food. When I get home, I do facials and massages—it’s part of my routine to unwind.

Self-care … is also about taking care of your mind and what’s inside of you

DA: You mentioned that fitness also plays a significant role in your life. What kind of sports or workout routines are you into these days?
KC: I work out a lot. I wake up every day around 7AM and hit the gym. It keeps me strong and clears my mind. In the afternoon, I like to go surfing— being in the ocean with the sunset, catching waves with my friends. That’s always a good way to end the day.

DA: Are there any causes or social issues you’re passionate about?
KC: I like to support local communities in Bali and just giving back to the people around me. This year, I’ve been teaming up with my friends to do a number of charitable projects, like fixing schools, building homes or simply distributing food to those in need.

I support helping the locals in Bali and giving back to the community. It’s important to give back to the people where you’re from

DA: You’re currently wearing a lot of different hats—actor, TV show host, creative director, real estate investor. What would you say if you could send a message to your five-years from-now self?
KC: I’d say, “Thank God you kept going, my bro.” That’s it. Don’t quit— just keep going.
