IWC Watch: Rules of the air

The Pilot’s Watch collection from IWC was created years ago and this model takes its name from the Spitfire—the legendary single-propeller fighter aircraft that ruled the skies in the early days of WWII— and also reflected the elegance and outstanding technology of the once-unbeatable plane.

In the present day, with a streamlined design and many new interesting features, the collection continues to impress. A testament to this quality is the recently introduced Spitfire Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month, the first IWC Pilot’s Watch to show the date and month digitally in the form of four large numerals.

Powered by the IWC-manufactured 89365 caliber, the Spitfire Chronograph is fitted with a newly developed fine-adjustment mechanism. Simply pressing the IWC button in the folding clasp lengthens the bracelet, while pushing it together until it is the correct length shortens it. The general overhaul of the Pilot’s Watch from IWC is absolutely great news for professionals and aviation fans alike.
