Givenchy’s Bond Bags Are Transformed into Utility Bags for Men in SS2020

Givenchy’s original “Bond Lign” is a popular women’s shopper bag collection known for its oversized silhouette. Recently, the French house unveiled a line of Bond-inspired bags for men as part of its latest Spring/Summer 2020 offerings.

During its spring/summer 2020 menswear show, Givenchy unveiled a new line of Bond Bags for men inspired by the original oversized shopper bag for women. These new models sees Creative Director Clare Waight Keller giving the traditional Bond Bag not just a style upgrade but also utilitarian modifications for each silhouette, namely by emphasizing function through flairs such as pockets, strings, straps and chains.

The bags are offered in a range of models with different styles and functions. These include crossbody bags, duffle bags, backpacks and beltbags in hues of black, blue, gray, neon and orange. A particularly stylish standout piece from the collection is a crossbody-backpack hybrid crafted from embossed crocodile leather which is adorned with orange rope detailing and finished with a Givenchy-branded silver toggle.

The most versatile piece, however, was definitely the canvas backpack which with a leather hood. It had a strong utilitarian flair to it and came equipped with detachable pouches with plenty of side zips for extra storage.  Givenchy’s Bond bags for the season are on display at Givenchy’s website now.
