The most fashionable opening ceremony for the Paris 2024 Olympics

The next summer Olympics will formally take place in the French capital from July 26 to August 11, 2024. And as anticipation for the games itself continues to rise, the unveiling of the various national uniform designs have equally drawn a lot of attention. In short, the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games will showcase an unprecedented convergence of elegance and athleticism.

With that in mind, we have compiled a fashionable round-up of the most stylish kits before their debut at the opening ceremony on July 26:

Team USA

The United States has always relied on heritage fashion brands for its Olympic uniforms. And once again, Team USA will be outfitted by regular partner Ralph Lauren for the 2024 Paris Games. The New York-based designer created a single-breasted navy blazer with white and red trimming for the opening ceremony, which reflects the colors of the American flag. Paired with worn denim trousers and striped shirts, the jacket boasts the Olympic team symbol as well as the traditional Polo horse design.

Team France

In keeping with the sophistication of Paris, French male athletes will don matching pants and a single-breasted blue jacket with a shawl lapel featuring a rich gradient of burgundy, white, and cerulean to reflect the French flag. Female athletes will wear a navy satin skirt or pants with a vest that has the same shawl lapel. Men and women will wear Berluti footwear; ladies will select bespoke loafers or the brand’s trainers, while men will wear BerlutiShadow sneakers.

Team Italy

Team Italy will be dressed in Armani’s EA7 collection for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, carrying on a partnership that started at the 2012 London Olympics. The collection has matching T-shirts, sweatshirts and polo shirts, as well as an Armani blue tracksuit outfit embroidered with “W ITALIA.” To further portray the brand’s casual cool sportswear sensibility, athletes will travel with EA7 trolley bags and shoes.

Team Great Britain

Team Mongolia

The Mongolian team’s ceremonial uniforms for the Paris 2024 Olympics have been designed by the Michel & Amazonka brand. Combining Olympic zeal with patriotism, these ensembles have exquisite golden thread embroidery. On the uniforms, there are large displays of symbols like the Olympic flame, the Nine White Banners and the mythological Gua-Maral deer. Michel & Amazonka has created Mongolia’s ceremonial clothing for the Olympics for the past two years running.
