Chris Diamantopoulos has also starred as Frank Sinatra in the TV miniseries The Kennedys. And most recently, he was cast to play Moe Howard, one-third of the Three Stooges, in the 2012 movie inspired by the legendary comedy team.

DA MAN caught up with Chris to talk about family, fashion and film.

DA MAN: One of your most memorable experiences is…
Chris Diamantopoulos: Seeing my boy for the first time. Words can’t describe the feeling of sheer joy… And terror.

DA MAN: You can’t live without your…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Reruns of Seinfeld. Truly, for some odd reason, that show has a wonderful calming effect on me.

DA MAN: Your idea of happiness…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Is Saturday mornings with my wife and son. Making a huge breakfast and alternating between watching Looney Tunes and The Three Stooges. Then Saturday afternoons when he’s asleep and me and my girl lounge next to each other by the pool.

DA MAN: You value…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
My health.

DA MAN: This year, your goal is to…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Enjoy every moment. It’s all fleeting isn’t it?

DA MAN: Fashion, to you, is…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Fascinating. That I can own eight pair of “brown shoes” and still find a new pair that I “need” is amazing. My choice of clothing is, almost without fail, a mitigating factor in how exceptional my day can be. Dress better, stand better, look better, feel better, act better, live better. Fashion is not about the money spent, it’s about being creative and open. Imagination and a good tailor can make you look like a million, and save you hundreds.

DA MAN: If you were not acting, you would be…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Performing (or storytelling) is my one true passion and calling. On the side, out of the industry, I think I’d really like to help build and design homes. I find architecture intriguing. Also clothing design interests me. Having worn so many different designers for various roles, shoots and events has given me a real insight into what to really look for in a garment. I think my experience would come in handy with menswear.

DA MAN: Your favorite journey has been…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
Metaphorically: The path that took me; a movie-loving Greek kid from East York Ontario, to Broadway and then Hollywood. Literally: Kurt Russell’s Jet from Muskoka [in Central Ontario, Canada] to NYC, what a trip!

DA MAN: Your motto in life is…
Chris Diamantopoulos:
“Go confidently in the the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined!” — Thoreau.
