From that initial step onwards, his affinity to the fabric that was once synonymous with mining workers develops, eventually encouraging him to launch True to the Blue sportswear collection for spring 2014.
In line with the designer’s philosophy to celebrate re-imagined classics, these pieces are, too, vintage pieces being reinterpreted with modern twists such as patchwork and tie-dye. But don’t picture denim-DIY-goes-wild just yet, because Mr. Hilfiger and co. managed to maintain an elegant touch in working with universal staples like denim.
