MASTER THE SEAS. To launch the new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra, the Swiss watch brand looks to Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne
To circumnavigate the oceans of the world is an accomplishment that not many can claim, and to do so successfully, besides a sturdy vessel, one needs a timepiece that can withstand the punishing elements. One such watch that has been known for its sturdiness and also its sophisticated style is Omega’s Seamaster Aqua Terra. This year the classy timepiece that was first announced back in 2003 receives a few updates to its looks while also introducing the new Master Chronometer caliber for this daily wearing watch.
To showcase the new look of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra, the Swiss watchmaker looks to its current timepiece ambassador and Oscar winning actor Eddie Redmayne. The blue-eyed freckle faced English actor takes to the seas in a stunning yacht sporting a simple yet stylish nautical look while showing off the brilliance of the Aqua Terra on his wrist. You can check out the video campaign below.
As for the time piece itself, the updated Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra still features the nautical references that it has been known for, such as the striped dial that resembles a teak boat deck, but instead of running vertically, they now hold a horizontal layout. The date window has shifted from three o’clock to now sit at six o’clock and the depth rating has on the dial has been replace with the words “Co-Axial Master Chronometer” just above the date window.
The Aqua Terra is available in three new models. The first is a 41mm steel and 18k Sedna gold version with a silvered dial and a rubber strap, while the second is a 41mm steel version with a silvered dial, a bright orange seconds hand, and a brown leather strap. As for the final model, there is a 38mm version in stainless steel with a blue dial and an integrated steel bracelet. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra not only makes a great timepiece for your nautical needs but is also a stylishly sporty timepiece for daily use.
