Eats+Drinks Review: RoundBar Ubud, Bali

This self-styled “most beautiful and stunning bar in Ubud with delectable drinks and tapas” is the newly opened RoundBar in Ubud, Bali.

The main bar and unicycle bar stoools - RoundBar Ubud

The RoundBar (Jl. Raya Penestanan, Ubud, Bali; 62-361/976-738) is a cozy, stylish watering hole from the same group that gave us the quirky Warung Mendez, also in Ubud. A vaulted ceiling towers above a rotunda and a circular bar. The bar stools are like unicycles, complete with pedals. They’ve really gone all in with the quirk, from the old denim to used plastic bottles adorning the walls, but it’s not just about the look and ambience here.

The food and drinks are quite good and would make this successful without the quirky interior. Tapas with Japanese, Indonesian and Mexican ingredients are on the menu alongside cocktails and beers.
