Dior Shows Its Devotion to Mother Nature Through the CD 1947 Capsule Collection

The latest men’s exclusive capsule from French luxury fashion house Dior, CD 1947, is a reflection of Christian Dior’s love of gardens and nature.

Designed by Kim Jones, the collection is an embodiment of Monsieur Dior’s legacy. It is informed by refined athleisure cuts, combining sportswear aesthetics with a touch of elegance. Advanced materials were used in the creation process, making the featured pieces ideal for the outdoors. The main palette for the collection is built upon a medley of soft, bright colors that are perfect for the season, including beige, baby blue and the house’s favorite shade, the Dior Gray.

The CD 1947 capsule comprises a range of ready-to-wear items that illustrate a spirit of minimalism while still preserving a sense of sophistication. Among the highlighted pieces are sweatshirts, Bermuda shorts, shirts and T-shirts, all embellished with the “Christian Dior” signature and “1947,” referring to the year of the founder’s first show. The emblematic symbols also find themselves decorating an array of accessory pieces including bandanas and belts, the iconic B27 sneakers, as well as Lingot 50 and Saddle bags. The capsule further includes a series of jewelry pieces and a carabiner bearing the “CD” initials. As a wonderful surprise, CD 1947 features a limited-edition gardening set comprising a folder leather seat and the duo of leather-clad shovel and rake.
