The fashion book is also called “Radical Renaissance 55+5”
Renzo Rosso has come a long way from starting Diesel in the 1978. Today, he is also the chairman of OTB, a short for Only the Brave, the fashion group of Maison Margiela, Marni and Viktor & Rolf, in addition to the aforementioned Diesel.
His and his brands’ many accomplishments have now been chronicled in a fashion book that was released on June 17, 2016 in Milan. Published in collaboration with Assouline, the book is called “Radical Renaissance 60,” or also known as “Radical Renaissance 55+5.”
Featuring pictures of campaigns, photographs from runway shows and behind-the-scenes snapshots, the book is divided into five chapters: “One Man, One Group,” “Alternative Luxury,” “Artisans of Industry,” “Brave Heroes” and “Viva La Differenze.”
Judging by the description provided, the fourth chapter, “Brave Heroes,” may be the most intriguing one. Consisting of four subchapters, “Brave Heroes” is dedicated to the brands and their great designers. Diesel’s part includes interviews with Nicola Formichetti, Andrea Rosso and Andreas Melbostad; Marni’s consists of quotes from creative director Consuelo Castiglioni; Viktor & Rolf’s highlights its two head designers; and Maison Margiela’s is completed with quotes from John Galliano and a never-before-seen written “cameo appearance” by Martin Margiela himself. Moreover, each subchapter is printed on a different paper!

“Radical Renaissance 60” will be available in Assouline boutiques, and also in selected Diesel, Maison Margiela and Marni stores worldwide starting this summer.
